| The pendant is an ornate, stylized representation of a dragonfly, crafted from polished sterling silver. It features a symmetrical design where the body forms a central vertical column, and the open-work wings spread out on either side, culminating in scalloped, leafy edges.The body of the dragonfly is set with a vertical line of five graduated, oval-cut amethyst. At the very top, where the head would be, and at the tip of the tail, there are two lighter, oval-cut blue topaz, creating a contrast in color. The intricate wings are a prominent feature. They are largely composed of open filigree work, forming complex, flowing, scroll-like patterns that are typical of Art Nouveau-inspired jewelry. The surface of the silver wings has a slightly textured, brushed finish, which adds dimension and highlights the detailed scrollwork. |
